Maryland In Lead For Dion Wiley

Sep 6, 2012 11:51 PM

Dion Wiley, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound sharpshooter out of Oxon Hill Potomac High School, has a new leader after a recent visit to College Park.

“It was good. I met some of the players, Nick Faust, Charles [Mitchell] and big Shaq. I’m watching the players right now. They’re looking good,” Wiley said Sunday evening.

Wiley attended Maryland’s football game against William & Mary with coach Mark Turgeon and director of basketball operations Dustin Clark.

“They say I’m a top priority, They like that I’m a shooter and I can play off the ball and score the ball, along with my size” Wiley said.

Dez Wells Narrows Transfer Options To Maryland, Oregon, Memphis

Sep 3, 2012 9:31 PM

Dez Wells has narrowed his transfer options down to Maryland, Oregon and Memphis and plans to decide within the next 48 hours, according to a source.

“I credit Maryland, they really got his spirits up,” the source said. “It was a blessing to me to hear. It started out a rough week for him. He went through Kentucky, Memphis, but Maryland was the first time I heard the excitement back in his voice.”

Wells may be leaning toward the Terrapins.

“Just by his excitement,” the source said. “If I had to bet the house on it, I would be betting in the blind, I would have to say, my gut, I know how he felt, sounds like possibly Maryland.”
